Design Build Process
Each CATVee body is designed on CAD technology,
ensuring consistent fit and finish. Body panels are fabricated from 5052H32
aluminium stock that is 0.125" thick. 5052 aluminium offers excellent corrosion
resistance, in fact is typically used for marine fabrication.
The frame work of supports found under the body panels
is constructed from 0.188" thick 5052H32 aluminium as well. These supports and
panels together make our kits the most rugged on the market.
Using 5052H32 materials offers some other significant
benefits as well, dramatically reduced weight, and a resulting improved fuel
economy when compared to steel body structures. In fact in most cased the
completed kit weighs less than the original donor vehicle.
